On the morning of June 9th, the signing ceremony of the GaN Semiconductor Research Center jointly built by the Guangzhou Research Institute of Xidian University (hereinafter referred to as the Guangzhou Research Institute) and Atoman Semiconductor was successfully held.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ni Jian, Chairman of Atoman, Zhou Junming, Chief Scientist, Zhao Yuhai, Director of the Strategy Committee, and Liu Feng, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Zhang Jincheng, Vice President of Xidian University, Wang Congsi, Executive Dean of the Guangzhou Research Institute, Huang Wei, Executive Director of Guangzhou Third Generation Semiconductor Innovation Center, Professor Liu Zhihong, Professor You Shuzhen, Professor Liu Xianhe, Associate Professor Li Xiangdong and Associate Professor Zhang Weihang, and Ma Bo, Vice President of the Guangzhou Research Institute, presided over the event.

Chairman Ni Jian said that Atoman has gathered top talents in the field of MBE at home and abroad with has a very good talent base and rich research results. It is very pleased to cooperate with the Guangzhou Research Institute, hoping that both sides will actively respond to the philosophy of national collaborative innovation, cooperate with each other, and promote the scientific and technological innovation and industrial integration of the GaN Semiconductor Research Center to a higher level.

Vice President Zhang Jincheng said in his speech that the best materials can make the best devices, and believed that the GaN Semiconductor Research Center will be able to develop more high-quality materials. He pointed out that MBE is likely to become a new track in the field of international technology. He mentioned that Xidian University has rich technical experience accumulation and talent advantages in the field of GaN. The signing ceremony today is only a starting point for cooperation between the two parties  and the GaN Semiconductor Research Center will be able to make more technical achievements in the future.

Subsequently, Zhou Junming and Liu Zhihong signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the Atoman and the Guangzhou Research Institute respectively, under the joint witness of the participants.
